I know how you feel as my Iggy is also very agressive. Does he stay mean once you take him out of his cage? I moved mine into a much bigger cage and he loves it in there. So much in fact that he feels i am intruding into his territory when i open his cage. BUt once i take him out he is okay~ Still acts up but does not try to savage me! Iguana's do not like change either~ But having him in bigger cage is great! I would say to keep working with him(wear gloves) Don't show you are afraid of him and he may settle down~ Sometimes igs just get mean after a certain age~ ahhhh the things we have to put up with~ hehehe~ There green and mean~ But we still love em! Good luck~ Tif
: Hello. I have had my iguana, Isadore, for two years now and have raised him since he was several months old. He certainly is the apple of my eye and I have never had any real problems with him. Isadore moved into a bigger cage last week and was happy as a clam for one week, and then suddenly, two nights ago, he started hissing, lunging, and trying to bite me when I was trying to get him out so he could roam about and when I was giving him his food. Isadore is a little over two years old now and is a male. I'm not sure if the change of environment got him mad or if he is just at a difficult age. His unhappiness is making me quite unhappy and I would greatly appreciate any input. Thanks.
