I've got a tiny baby iguana (about 3" svl) who managed to slip out of my hands and find a really good hiding place. He was healthy and well-fed as of the last time I saw him, about 4:00 on saturday the 7th. I haven't been able to find him (though I know he's in my bedroom).
I imagine they can die from dehydration or starvation after a while, and what I want to know is (besides the obvious question of where he is), after a day and a half gone, is he likely to still be OK when I find him? how long can an iguana go without food and water? And is there any good way of recapturing an iguana? I've put out some water and a heat lamp for him, with a conveniently close hiding place, but no luck attracting him to it. Thanks in advance.
