Hi there.
There is no such thing as a best subspecies of iguana. The iguana's are only as good as they are taken care of properly by their owners. In most cases any iguana is great (kind of like a 6-foot cat) when all the proper conditions are given to them. Make sure you do your research throughly and get in touch with an iguana adoption agency or rescue to obtain one. In most cases (not every case) any petstore will most likely give you false information just to get the sale. Choose who you get the information from very carefully.
Also remember that the enclosure you currently have your beardies in most likely wouldn't even house one iguana. A great deal of space is needed and there is nothing that your beardies have that your iguana would need so all new equipment and care knowledge is needed!
