Actually, I believe that the majority of "snalting" is due to *potassium* elimination. An iguana's diet, by nature, really shouldn't have much sodium in them. If you think that there is a chance that your ig is doing this more often than normal a vet visit would be in order just to make sure that everything is OK and that potassium levels in the blood aren't too far out of whack. This will also clue you in as to what, if anything, needs to be done with diet.
You may also want to try to increase water intake in order to assist the whole "snalting" process. And as IZ's Mom pointed out, overall it IS a normal thing.
