Actually, Doug, iguanas should get a bath every other day as opposed to once a month for several reasons. First would be for hygiene. Igs are constantly walking, dragging their tail through poop. Bathing them not only cleans them but reduces the risk of salmonella. Secondly, bathing them at LEAST every other day helps to keep them hydrated.
Igs are not easy to care for and should definitely be bathed more than once a month - do NOT use soap of any kind. This could possibly be toxic to an ig and can also dry them out.
