Hello again. Well first off thank you guys and girls for the info and the sites... they helped a lot. I am still having a little trouble sexing my iguana. I did see the femoral pores, but on such a young one, i really cant tell the difference. S/he is only about 8-10" long (snout to anus), with a ~14" tail. But either way, I named him/her Jupiter, as s/he is the largest lizard i will have (when full grown). There is a reason behind the name, but i wont go into that here. But i do have a few more questions.
Ok first-- Is there a lightweight but strong material that can be used for an indoor cage? I can build a cage with no problem, but i live in an apartment and dont plan on living here the rest of my life, so i would rather have a cage that isnt extremely heavy to move ( already did that once). Yes cost is an issue, but that sort of depends on timing and materials. I can get pines wood lengths (4" X 1" X 8')but again this would be heavy.
I read on Kaplans site that linoleum would be a good ground cover, but wont the iggy slip on that??
I will probably have more questions later, but right now i have to go and ask about my bearded dragon. Thanks again.
Mike and Jupiter
