Hi there.

I think possibly the bubble maker is not necessary it could be very easily scaring him from going close to the water.

Most of the Ig's I know are a little timid around moving water & running water this may be the problem. Once the water is not in motion they tend to climb in. Make sure of course that the water level isn't too high!

Also if you tend to know when your Iguana has his daily movement you can have a water area to put him into at that time. To get him in the habit. Once this is done they will use the one in the enclosure (after a bit of patience & practice).

My big three year old is 100% litter trained. He won't even go to the bathroom in the bath (only in his enclosure). I also found that his litter area was a good area to put in a rock climbing area because since I did that I've had no accidents and it is easier for him to climb into the water.

Hope this gives you some ideas. Good Luck!
Someone else might have other suggestions as well.

James

: How do you get your ig to eliminate in a pool of water? Mine has a pool w/ bubble maker in it and a water fall...he never uses either. He always goes on the floor of his cage and not always in the same spot. I've tried putting lots of fake leaves and vines around the pool so he'll feel secure and safe to use it and now I've got it out in the open incase he does't like the leaves and vines. Is he too young maybe (8 months)?? I would think by his age the instinct to want to use water would have kicked in...
