iguana abandoned at animal hospital in Dickson, TN

I know of an iguana that will desparately need a home in about eight days. He has been abandoned at the animal hospital where I work. He is about two feet long and will need some special care. He's probably going to lose his tail, has rubbed his nose raw to the point he'll probably always need help shedding there, has had MBD so that some of his joints are swollen (might also have an infection in those joints, although the swelling seems to have gone down in the last few days). A bigger problem is his disposition. He's not super aggressive, but he's not very well socialized. He does tail whip, and he will try to bite if you're not careful. Once you have your hands on him, though, he calms down a bit. We've been having to force-feed him. He's definitely not happy at the hospital. He will probably be euthanized once he is legally the property of the clinic (it's hard to find a home for an ig that isn't in perfect health--as i'm sure you rescuers have noticed). :)

I just thought I'd give him a chance on this board to see if anyone has any ideas. Feel free to email me with any questions.
