Port Angeles: A real iguana story
2001-06-24

PENINSULA DAILY NEWS
Stuart McColl had his Father's Day present almost six days before it climbed 45 feet up a tree.
Jack, 7, and Ted, 6, bought their father an iguana. Its name is Rex.
About 30 inches long, Rex is kept in a large cage but was let out to enjoy the sunny weather while the McColls were building a new swimming pool.
``He was having a great time,'' Janet McColl said. ``He was licking his lips and cruising the rocks.''
Rex was playing in the sand and on the rocks with Ted and Jack when he bolted up a hemlock tree.
