How long have YOU had her? What is her weight? At 4 years of age an iguana tends to slow down growth ANYWAY! She may be a runt, she may have had previous owners that didn't attend to her protein/dietary needs for proper growth as a hatchling. Every iguana is different some get huge @20 lbs, some stay long and lean @8-10 lbs. Ive seen some igs with heads the size of volleyballs w/dewlap extended! footballs w/o dewlap lolol My male's head is smaller than my females (side effect of being neutered!)
Definately drop off a poopie specimen for fecal float as you might be feeding something other than yer ig ;-) Recommended iguanas have fecal floats every 6 months. Can get worms from eating contaminated w/ ova forage food (grasses, clover, dandelion) do you have dogs or cats? or from unwashed foods from grocers(clean with warm water!)
Also if she does have worms (pin, round, hook) you'll need to have her weighed so the vet can properly dose her with a dewormer with a repeat dosing in 2-3 weeks to make sure to get any ova that may have reached adulthood! If she was dewormed one time only w/o the repeat she will continue to be infected w/ parasites. Cuz he ova that didn't die w/ the dewormer reach maturity and lay eggs...a very vicious cycle! that impedes most nutrients the ig is sposed to have! Most dewormers do not work on parasite ova only adult worms! but Im not sure...talk to your vet! (sure wish Marie Eguro was around to ask!)
