he doesn't have a problem getting down to his food dish! you have an ig who wants to eat in bed!!!! oh geez, that's EASY! put his food up on his basking shelf! your poor ig is probably wondering why it's taken so long to train you! LOL! iZ will also only eat if his food is up on his shelf ... even if i put it where he can see it from his 'bed', he will pout and go on a hunger strike until i do it the way HE WANTS .... go for it! the only semi-bad thing is that some food ends up on the floor, but that's easy enough to deal with ...
oh here i was so worried for you (i AM very good at that tho!) and he just wants to be served in bed ... that's funny ... i am soooooooo relieved!
(hope i didn't worry YOU with MY over-reacting!!!!)
igs get 'spoiled' easily ... which is why it's recommended that they not be hand-fed ... (they'll like it so much, they won't eat any other way!) .... i think it must be the same with eating in bed .... *grins*
plus, if you've found a rep-vet and HE says your ig is in good health, sounds like you're doin' GREAT! (i wouldn't worry 'bout the blood tests at this point ...*g*)
welcome to the wonderful world of being owned by an iguana! your life will never be the same!
best wishes to you both!
