I would guess yes, he would jump off your shoulder in strange places. If he does it at home I would guess he would do it out also. I didn't take Jade out until I was sure he wasn't going to jump off me in the house. He does very well even while at home...once he did jump off my shoulder while I was preparing my dogs food in the kitchen. He jumped onto one of the cabinet doors and just hung there until I got him. I don't like the idea of him roaming in my kitchen or it wouldn't have been a big deal.
