(Please forgive the crosspost......)
I have a favor to ask. I have searched all our 'regular sites (and a 'blue-zillion' odd-ball others) for a QUALIFIED herp vet in or near my area. I've tried the veterinarian associations, herpetologist sites, zoo herp curators, herpetological societies, iguana mailing lists, message boards, forums,...etc., but to no avail. I can find plenty of 'names', but no one who will actually vouch for a specific vet's capabilities with reptiles.
Since, I cannot find anyone who can give me a personal recommendation. I thought, perhaps, you may know of someone in this area who has used, and is pleased, with the level of service received from their herp vet.
I live in western Kentucky (one and a half hours northwest of Nashville, TN; one hour west of Bowling Green, KY; one hour east of Paducah, KY; two hours southwest of Evansville, IN.) I have used ************, DVM,
of Nashville, TN in the past, but was not impressed with his knowledge of herps. Actually, I was appalled with his lack of knowledge. It seems, however, that the Nashville zoo and herp societies recommend him highly.
As you can see, I am at a stalemate.
Any ideas?
Any information you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
(P.S. To all those who have heard me sing this sad song (many tmes) in the past, please bear with me. I keep hoping to run into someone with knowledge of a vet in my area. : )
