Let's see... Dynamite could've been used... Napalm would've negated the "threat" of spreading salmonella ... Heck, maybe even a laser guided SCUD.... Even though the weight ratio wouldn't be even close to being comparable, try climbing a tree this weekend and having b-balls hurled at you. THEN see if you can make any distinctions....
I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, Amy) that it was the method that was used to bring the iguana down that Amy disagreed with. As far as "blanket" laws being passed, I agree that, in general, they tend to rob more people of freedom than any good they attempt to accomplish. HOWever, the other side is that simply too many iguanas (in this case) are finding their way up trees in Anytown, USA. Blanket laws aren't the answer - but maybe severe monetary fines for owners whose lizards "escape" - read into that IGNORANTLY and IRRESPONSIBLY LET LOOSE because I refuse to believe that there are so many lizards picking enclosure latches and snipping hardware cloth with C7's in order to liberate themselves. Of course that would necesssitate licensing/tagging to accurately identify the animal. There's a whole different kettle of fish.... I can't wait to see this one......
