Okay, we have had our first ig for about three years (we can't find the piece of paper that gave original vital stats) and she is 4 feet plus and more than 9 pounds- she weighed that mid summer and is still eating like a pig and big or bigger than my upper arm.
We also have a rescue that is the same length but probably half the weight and who knows how old.
Because of other pets (dogs, cats, kids)they would never be unsupervised out of their cage.
Okay, survey time. How many of you let your igs free roam, how cold does it get on the floor and how long each day do you let them out? Do they think to come back? I question the thought processes of the rescue as it almost died of pneumonia/dehydration/MBD/broken bones and doesn't seem as with it as our big home raised baby.
Sorry, if this is rambly, I am high on cold meds right now.TIA
What are some common down sides to this.
Please email responses to Castleg1@aol.com as I have no idea when I will be back to this forum.
