: First of all, I am sorry for the fact that the ig had to die due to a situation that was accidental but, possibly preventable. I have many different reptiles myself. I do like furry mammals too. I would love to have a cat, or even a ferret, but, I know I would be creating a potentially dangerous enviornment for my beloved reptiles. It would be way to risky to have my reptiles , and a major predator (like a cat) in the home all day alone while I am at work, or just out. I understand the ig was in a room, that had a door to keep cats out, but, accidents like leaving doors open do occur. I think its just a bad situation, with the potential to get even worse. My iguana is very, very close to me. I could not even think about putting her in any danger, directly or indirectly. I think that maybe in your house hold, it would be best NOT to have any reptiles while you still have cats. I understand that you did not mean for it to happen, but, the situation was always a possibility. I do know that some people do have cats, and igs. They seem not to bother each other, the ig is usually a larger size, and they were possibly brought up together while the cat was a kitten, but, in the house hold where this incident occured, that is obviously not the case. Just my opinion on the matter. My condolences.
BULL hehe we have two fullgrown IGs and a cat that all play together and if the cat gets to be to be alittle to "much like a cat" the IGs just whip her hehe and the cat WILL back away
Its all how you intro them together
