:Check out Melissa Kaplan's web site on iguana its full of great information. Do not feed lettuce, it has no food value, and is useful only as a filler for people. We use reed's iguana diet as well as plenty of mustard, collard, and turnip greens, and yellow, orange, and zuccini squash. The fresh greens get a dose of reptical vitamin and mineral supplement. Don't forget your new ig need unfiltered sunlight, a rare comodity in the winter, so make sure he gets vitamin D-3
: : A really good friend of mine just died and he owned an Iguana. I am now taking the Iguana so that it won't be given to a pet store, but, the only problem is that I really don't know a whole lot about Iguanas. It is about 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 feet long and has a cage that is about 6'H 8'L 4'W. I have been told to feed it lettuce about twice a week and to keep a full bowl if Iguana food from the pet store and lots of water in the cage at all times. If anyone has any helpful hints or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely Phil
