I took her to a vet who suggested she had some kind of infection, took a blood sample, put her on antibiotics and sent her home. She got steadily worse, and finally, I took her to Dr. Rossi, who is a herptologist, with a PhD in Zoology. He told me that she was in serious trouble and needed surgery to remove some retained post-ovulatory eggs. She had surgery the next morning and he removed approx 40 eggs which weighed 12 oz's!
