I am hard pressed to accept that could be a 4 year old....can you be sure of the age, or is it speculation? She looks more like a fairly healthy 1 and 1/2 - 2 year old to me...WOW!!!

Thank GOODNESS she is in that good of condition, and thank goodness there are people out there like you to get these animals into loving and caring environments!

Both my old male and female were rescues - the female was in such bad shape she had lost an eye due to poor husbandry and did not eat on her own for over 4 months...I got a call from a pet shop owner I knew one afternoon about a new iguana they were scheduling to 'put down'...It took a lot, but she ended up being a great pet and a strong healthy young lady eventually...

You (and your little Pixie) are very fortunate...I will keep positive thoughts for you both, and am sure that with soem good care and love she will be fine...

: I picked up this rescue Sunday in Toledo. I'm told she's over 4 years old, was kept in a basement with no additional heat, no lights, and her diet consisted only of Kale. She has very poor muscle tone and something is definately wrong with her right elbow but we're seeing the vet on Friday. Other than those things she seems to be in amazing shape, considering. I've named her Pixie just because the name fits so well.
