He should be having 1 or 2 full body sheds a year at 5 y/o...what types of foods are you feeding him...in general? What kind of humidity does he have? I'd take a look at those two factors first...cage/tank size will not 'stunt' and iguanas growth or shed...but enviroment & diet & health status could.
