Reptile mites can be red or black, immature mites a medium brown. This is NOT a mite infestation....more like a fungal/bacterial dermatitis w/ hyperkeratinosis from bites (cagemate?), burns or living in FILTHY conditions for a very LONG time!! The vet will want to do cytology, c&s and bloodwork. If you do not have a reptile vet here's a link to ARAV...just names & addresses need phone directory for #s....
PLEASE do NOT hesitate to e-mail me if the vet can save her...I would like to donate $ for her care if you need help. This is CRIMINAL animal abuse to me!
DITCH the Centrum! Way too much Vitamin D3 (since yer using Miner-all I). Leads to hypervitamintosis D and mineralization of soft tissue, loaded with trace METALS that are not good for iguanas.
No to Hydrogen peroxide (kills healthy tissue should not be used long term only in a pinch).
Yes to Betadine and a/b ointment IF its bacterial, and not fungal...but you really won't know which it is till she's examined by a vet.It will not hurt to use both until she is seen.
