Hi
I recommend you to really get hold of a good reptile vet, you will probably need it ( at least to get the medicines prescribed)
I know how bad burns can get, I've had that experience in January. I had two of my Igs badly burned and is still treating one of them ( unfortunatly the mother of the babies that hatched in the cage two years ago, for those who remember ). It takes a long time and hard work. I just got the info on Aloe Vera, but havn't tried it myself but is told that it work wonders. What I have used with extreem success the last month is codliver oil, it has improved the healing extreemely. Other than that Sulphadiazine locally and an antibiotic is important since they get very susceptible to infections when burned! Something not to forget is to have them on hydration since they may loose a lot of liquid through a burn.
I don't know how bad your Igs burn is, but believe me, if it just happened you have some surprise coming, since it's usually worse than it looks once the dead skin is removed, which it has to be. Tomorrow I will post some pics on how mine looked and is looking now ( the pics are at work ), to give you an idea on what MAY be ahead.
I hope that I have exaggerated the "scene" regarding your Ig, but maybe this can give some ideas on how important it is to secure the heat from your Ig. I made a HUGE mistake not to, but there where some extreem circumstances that lead to this ( not saying that I didn't MAKE a mistake, even the sun has its spots :-) )!
I'll get back tomorrow with this.
