It will be very hard for iguanas to be removed from the pet trade.Look at dogs and cats. There are tons more dogs and cats in shelters than iguanas. Dogs and cats are killed everyday in those shelters. But everyone loves them. That I think is going to be the case with iggys. There are people that would never give up them without a fight. I would just hide my herps if it became illegal to keep them here. Also, I know that too many iggys are being sold at the pet store...but most of the people that have found their way to this forum are probably educated on iguanas and would be the best candidates to buy an iguana. It is the people that aren't informed on them that will impulse buy them. Also, it's not the iggys fault he wound up in the pet store. He can't control that. And sometimes they need to be saved.
