Dustin,
That is wonderful how you gave Retardo a great home. It is too bad that pet stores don't care for their animals. For all the advice against buying a sick animal from a pet store, sometimes one will turn out to be a gem of a pet, and sometimes we just can't pass an animal up.

: Well, i don't name any of my pets. But, i've had Retardo the longest. When i first got him, almost 2 years ago, he couldn't even walk. He always had these little seizures and stuff. He had pretty bad MBD and the pet store had him sitting on a heat rock in a ten gallon aquarium. So, i felt sorry for him and paid $50 for him. Since he couldn't walk, i put him real high up on a little stand with a heating pad and he'd sit there all day long, he had a water bowl and food dish. Anyway, the point is, he was 'retarded' when i first got him, hence the name. But, now he's fine, and a GREAT pet that i wouldn't trade for anything.
