Thier teeth are simple, conical, and serrated and sharp, much as as a shark's are. As Tmom said, they are only used to cut food into managable pieces. If you can get your iggy to take a bite out of a collard leaf while you hold it, examine the edges of the perfect little bite-shaped hole they leave. Looks like it was done with a tiny pinking shears.... (all you seamstresses will know what these are...)
