: First, I'd like to start with thanking everyone that has answered my first message, except this jerkoff weezel.Who is this guy? Second, Ron you seem to know what you're talking about, have you done this before? You didn't mention anything about the light cycle, and do you think I should cycle them now. Also why does floor space matter, I know my iguanas need a bigger cage, because their outgrowing their 4x4 cage now, lets say I had a cage ready in a month, would I still be able to breed them this year, or is it better to wait till next year?
Well, I've been breeding Cyclura outdoors in South Florida for years and have helped many of my customers set up and breed the offspring they acquired from me. Light cycle, in my opinion, is not as important but would be a good idea. 12 hours of light in the Fall/Winter and 14 hours spring/summer. Also floor space is very important as Cyclura are large, territorial lizards that require a decent amount of space to be comfortable. Most Cyclura are easy to breed and all that is required really is that there basic husbandry requirements be met (good diet, ample heat, etc). You can set them up ANYTIME and there's a good chance they'll breed for you.
Good luck,
Ron
