Well we finally made it to Oregon! We actually ended up on the coast in Astoria rather than Portland. The ride wasn't too bad. Everytime we went under a bridge or through a tunnel Iggy freaked out. I guess she thought that the shadow was from a bird. Other than that she was very well behaved. Right now she is sitting next to me on the floor of our new house licking the computer screen. Anyway, do any of you live near Astoria, OR? I'm looking for a good herp vet and I don't really want to have to drive all the way back to Portland all the time. I've looked at all of the herp vet sites but I can't find any vets anywhere near here. They are all in the Portland area which is about 3 hours away. BTW thanks for all the advice about the hotels... We put Iggy in a box covered with a blanket everytime we were going in and out of a room with her. One time she did manage to stick her head out as we were leaving a hotel. The manager wasn't around but one of the maids was. She almost fainted!
