I've seen this before too - and I don't like it! Iggy's should not be eating bugs and when they're babies and don't know what their tastebuds like yet, all that movement might just be too tempting!
It really angers me to go to a petstore and see things housed wrong, fed wrong, and taken care of improroperly. What REALLY bothers me is overhearing the employees giving out wrong information to the people that don't know any better and think they are getting good advise on taking care of their new companion. I have gotten to where I won't even go into the petstores anymore because I leave all upset and sick to my stomach. There is a small local, family owned one that I will still go into - I get my fish and some supplies there (bugs for food if I'm in a pinch between orders) and they take good care of the animals there - too bad petstores like this are few and far between...
OK I've put my 2 cents worth in - Hope you IGGY Forum people don't mind us Water Dragon owners popping in every once in a while...

: Hello! I'm not an iggy user, but much like Spyro and Sparks Mom ( Muffin says hi guys! ), I am the proud momma of a year old chinese water dragon. Though some water dragons will eat veggies and fruits, it's my understanding that it is few and far between. I know Muffin won't have anything to do with these ( and boy we have tried all kinds of tricks ). Pretty much, if it doesn't move, she won't even look at it. I think this would be one of the biggest problems housing the two together. It's my understanding that iggy's should not eat animal protien ( I learned this from your forum :-) ). Also, size could be an issue as well, don't igs like to lay on each other? I think size may become a problem as the ig keeps growing and the water dragon stops at about 3 1/2 feet...most of which is tail. I'd be worried about a squished water dragon. I've seen the babies housed together in pet shops, but like what was already said, that's got to be due to turn over rate ( even though it may not be the right thing to do ). Spyro? Sparks? You have anything to add here that I may have over looked? By the way, I love your guys forum!!! Hope you don't mind me peeking in!
