: Thx for all the well wishes and empathy! Vega$ has turned out to be the hosp.'s worst post-op patient! I suppose that's typical Vega$...has to be a royal pita in all arenas :)

: We saw her regular vet this a.m. (he had been ooto earlier this week). He felt that Vega$ isn't in any danger atm, which was good --it's been 7 days post-op. If anything really bad was going to happen, it would have happened by now. He found her quite active and alert -- which is a great sign. ALtho, her PCV had dropped to 26%, he didn't feel that she was in any danger zone with that value. He speculated that the internal suture (to a blood vessel) musta popped (cuz of Vega$' extremely high activity level) and hence the bleeding. However, the compression bandage and V's good health prolly circumvented any really bad problems. Her belly didn't feel like it was full of blood (sign of internal bleeding) so that was good.

: She stayed at the vet today, since I felt more comfortable knowing there were 2 vets on duty and the techs there. I'll pick her up after work tonite (about 7:30pm). I'll drop her off tomorrow for the day, and then pick her up in the afternoon.

: Her vet also wanted to do weekly monitoring on her too. You know, her vet bills woulda made a great shopping spree.

: What's sorta nice to know is that he talks about Vega$ in the reptile classes he gives at conferences and sorts :) She was part of a segment re: people and their attachments to their reptile pets :) :)

: Thx again for all the good thots :)
: Des.
