it's always worked for us with all sorts of reptiles.We put in one of our old clean t-shirts rubbed on ourselves and put it in their cage.
We do not wear any fragrances while holding our new reptile either and I always wear a t-shirt that I have held one reptile on,a second or even third time while holding them.This lets them smell their scent on you.Reptiles are very scent oriented,,so try this and be patient and slow moving while taking your baby out of the cage.Speck softly and just be patient.
