We got into igs thru my son wanting one.We went to the pet store and found a nice healthy beautiful iglet and bought all the stuff we were told we needed for her.Thank goodness this pet store had a few employees that knew about igs.
Well the son found a g/f and the ig was being left out,so my son asked me if I'd help take care of her.Sure I will and the rest is history for me.
Gwar and I bonded sooo deeply, that when my son moved in with his g/f I wouldn't let him take Gwar.
Well I lost Gwar to egg binding and was just devasted,so Dan went out and bought me my beautiful wonderful,Cirsis, and from there, our kids became our lives.Go was smuggled out of Orlando by Xta,who worked with a woman that said he had no personality.Wrong,,,Go has sooo much personality that he's a constant joy to watch.
We now do rescue and rehab for reptiles and while it can be challenging to rehab them,,they do seem to know they've been rescued and are in a loving place. They are intelligent and appreicate a good home.
What would we change?not a thing, except maybe get more people educated about reptiles.
To much work?no,,and it is a labor of love with these trusting kids.
Another boring story, but we just can't imagine life without our kids.
