Being in Texas, we've also given some thought to outdoor cages if only for daytime use. So far we are still in the "thinking about" stage LOL What I would worry about here anyway would be predators that don't know the difference between a lizard and an iguana so to speak. We've had birds come down and take long, searching, hungry looks thru the picture window at our two igs. You can just see the wheels turning (hmmm, dinner for the family!). We've had to shoo off bluejays and grackles when ours are outside sunning in their tree. At night I would be concerned about the possums and raccoons that come into our neighborhood from nearby wooded areas. These harass the dogs in the area so I assume an iguana would be a target, too. Last but not least.....I've seen more than one post where folks have come home only to find that someone has broken the lock and made off with their iguana.

Now you can see why we haven't gotten very far with our own plans LOL Whatever you decide, I'm sure Gus will appreciate even a few hours of rays!
