I have one little (4.5 m.o.) rhino. I'm in Ohio so a year round outdoor enclosure is out of the question. I am working on a summer basking area though. My little guy is still pretty wild, but I hope to have a free roamer one day.
You're very welcome. I've had a few similar situations myself. Some of the self-righteous and self-proclaimed experts on this board (not naming any names but there are a few) really set me off from time to time.
I'm a vet student. I'm just a first year so I'm no expert (not by any stretch of the imagination), but I try to give pertinent info. in areas where I feel comfortable from time to time. I've been blasted for all kinds of stuff.
While there are lots of people out there who often disagree with the same attitudes/opinions that I find really perturbing, few will say anything. I generally try to remain uninvolved but sometimes it just gets too ridiculous.
I would love to compare cyclura notes sometime. I'm still a beginner and love to learn new things. I'd love to see some pics of yours too. Send me an email.
failed to stress that they require SPACE (area not height) and are more terrestial than GGIs. Thank you for catching it! Ive seen some very nice outdoor set ups with heated dens that Im hoping to duplicate when the time comes to upgrade. Do you have cycluras creaturemd? Also wanted to say thanks re: one of yer other posts
: ;-) I look forward to reading your posts... are you in vet/animal science field?
