I feed my herbis bananas 1-2xs a month as part of a varied diet....and yeah they do love em (great for hiding medicine in or for making a slurry for force feeding)...some reasons I don't feed them more often include: high phosphorus and tannic acid.
My igs lunge at prickly pear (cactus apples;fruit), papaya, fresh figs, rasberries! I often put them on wood scewers/chopsticks and handfeed em small pieces/ chunks late afternoon as a treat. Have to put them on scewers otherwise I'd be missing a few fingers!
