aloe will also relieve at least some of the sting/pain of a burn ... it really *is* amazing stuff! i am a notorious plant killer so no way can i keep an actual aloe plant (yes, i can even kill cactus!) ... i keep a bottle of pure aloe vera gel (NO additives!) handy year-round tho and while i'm sure it's not as good as fresh, right from the source, it's nice to have ...
i *do* want to emphasize something tho ~ just me being paranoid regarding igs + potential infections again!)
with something like a burn on a cold-blooded, slow-healing ig, you *do* need to address the potential infection issue ... Diana's vet had her clean the wound daily with Nolvasan and so *that* in *combination with* the aloe, replaced the silvadine quite adequately ... like Diana said, consult with the doc!!! (ok, i feel better now!)*grin*
*Hooray* for Bobbit healing so nicely + bigger *Hoorays* for thinking of the aloe!!!! happy endings are the BEST!
Bon.
