Those who wondered about Double D being so small here is the reasons she is so small.
We have only had her for 2 months and 4 days we got her from the pet store where she had been recovering for a year from the owners they took her from, im actually surprised they decided to have the vet treat her and not put her down (im very glad they didnt)
When they got her she was estimated to be a year old, had been living in a 10 gallon aquariam that was FILTHY, her tail was barley hanging on, she was fed dried canned food only cage cleaned very rarely, she had massive burns from the heat rock, she had ammonia burns that the vet thought looked like it had been dumped on her (hopefully they cleaned the cage with amonia and it got on her) she had sever skin infection, MBD, was deyhdrated and on deaths door. The pet store first had her tail amputated as it was barely on, started her on antibotics, did syrnge feedings and gave her daily shots, worked with her on her meds daily and got her to eat on her own again, got her skin lots better then had to have her tail reamputated as it grew back very crooked and was causing her problems, I heard her story a week before going to just CHECK on her (yeah right LOL) i walked out the door with her that day, shes grown 2 full inches since we have had her and put on at least 3 ounces, she did have worms only slightly but the vet went ahead and wormed her knowing she came from the pet store and knowing her history just so her body wouldnt work so hard to keep healthy, shes been sheeding since the week after we brought her home, eatting like a pig and living in the laps of luxury, all though her cage isnt the best size (will be building a HUGE enclouser that will span the whole wall of the front room when our house FINALLY gets started building) but she gets lots of out of cage time and is give lots of attention and exercise, at least here she gets constant love and attention and her cage is a little bigger than the pet store had her in, here she has room to climb there she didnt. Shes got all of our hearts all ready.
