I have found that tub soaks help even more than KY, but I have tried that too. right now it has gone too far back in so I plan to wait until it is visibly extended a bit from the vent before I try to "help". Actually the last few before this he has released on his own without much trouble (okay maybe I had to pull the last bit out so he didn't drag it around behind him) but for the most part he did it on his own. They were smaller and very fresh. He only runs into problems when they build up and don't come out for a long time (get huge and dry-- very painful for him to get them out) Anyway, thanks for all the words of encouragement!!!!
