hi + welcome!
good sites below for excellent info on ig care ... there's only 2 actual books on igs that are worth buying ~ one by James Hatfield (can't remember the name of the book!) and one by Melissa Kaplin ~ Iguanas for Dummies ... MK has an extensive web site as well that discusses all aspects of ig care:
http://www.sonic.net/~melissk/ig_care.html

good diet info (based on MK's diet, bit easier to follow)
http://www.baskingspot.com/iguanas/

Sneakers tips on 'training':
http://www.northrim.net/chalbrew/home/ighandling.html

basically tho ~ igs are **vegetarians** ~ don't feed lettuce, it's got zero nutrients ... collard greens, mustard greens, escarole or endive are good ... igs *do* have teeth, sharp ones! but they do *not* chew their food, so shred those greens up rather small and *no* "chunks" of vegies ...

throw out the heat rock, it's extremely dangerous ... they tend to cause extremely NASTY burns ...

*Don't* use wood chips/shavings, sand or gravel/pebbles anywhere *near* your iglet + especially not in it's enclosure ... it'll obstruct it's gut if it eats any!!

well, that will give you an *idea* of what you're in for ~ come back and ask all the questions i know you'll still have ok? *grin*

Bon. + iZ
