Can wood chips cause a problem in an iguanas gut?

A few days ago I was hand feeding my iguana a piece of bannana. He took it into his mouth, but dropped it, and 2-3 small wood chips got stuck to it. I tried to pick it up before he could get to it, but he ate it, with the wood chips on it. Will they pass by themselves? If not, would it be a serious health problem if they sit in his gut? He is still pooping daily as usual.
