Hello
Im researching Iggy heating products for my bf’s iggy. Shes surpassed 4ft now, and we need to keep her heating elements high above her, other wise she may climb them and burn herself. (duh, as Im sure you all realize that, sorry!) Currently, she has 2 cermaic heaters (she lives in a room :). These keep her room warm enough, but now do not keep her basking spot warm enough. What do you think of using one or two basking bulbs (150 W?), or Chicken Heaters (I think they come in a variety of Wattages, including 500W) during the day. (specifically the morning, cause the ceramics take a long time to warm up after night cooling, and that is when she eats) Also, another basking spot is in progress, any suggestions?? (Acutally, if anyone has any good basking spot plans, we would love to hear about them!) The heating element must be at least approx 3 ft high, so she cant reach it. What about radiant heat panels?? I have heard only good things about these, but do not know at all enough about them.
Thanks for your time,
Christina
