HI ALL.... I have been trying to keep everyone up to date on how my resuce Zoe has been doing. Well.... after taking her to a vet that doesnt know anything about reptiles - obviously.
Anyway - took her to a REAL herp vet that is over an hour away... he xrayed her & sure enough - a HUGE clutch of eggs!
After a shot of Oxytocin & the drive home, there were already 2 eggs in her carrier. That was at 4 pm. By 1 am this morning, she had layed 42 egss (all on my bed under my pillow might I add...).
She was zonked asleep so I carried her to her enclosure & laid her down on a towel. This morning she ate a few bites & insisted on coming back out... so I let her out & she went right back to the bed, digging. I CANT IMAGINE that she has anymore. The contractions stopped & she is just bones now.... :(
I am wondering if perhaps she is digging trying to bury them (in her mind she thinks that they are there I guess) or if she has MORE still???
I guess I will see as the days go one.
Can anyone share their egging experiences with me please?
Thanks everyone!
Love you guys!
Kimberley & Zoe
