fLoWer 4 jImmI 2 B heALthY ~ frUm iZ the drAgOn
(iZ is having fun sending flowers to girLz lately ... *grin* ... this is a "dragon's breath" hibiscus)
the 1st time iZ had surgery (18mo ago), he'd had to have his bladder opened up + "cleaned out" (yech + owie!) ... he came home the day after surgery + i was giving him *massive* amounts of fluid *and* he was on a totally liquid diet as well ... since i wanted to prevent all possible stress on his sore bladder, i tubbed him 4x a day the 1st few days to encourage him to empty his bladder and we amazed his surgeon cuz iZ peed every single time ... as he healed, we reduced it to 2x a day and then to his normal one time a day ...
ok ~ my thoughts??
could be that her systems are just now able to function the way they *should* + so compared to what she's done in the past, are working a bit overtime right now ~ due to actually being hydrated enough finally ... ????
since her systems (renal, etc) are now able to function as they should, it could be that her bladder is simply 'out of practise' and she doesn't have the muscle tone to hold very much right now ... she's just not used to actually having an amount of fluids in her that she actually 'has some to spare' in the form of pee ... ???? a temporary thing that would resolve itself as she gets healthier + those muscles get a chance to actually work on a regular basis ...
or ...
gotta wonder about a bladder stone ... (a subject near but *not* dear to my heart) ... if there is a solid in there, there wouldn't be as much room to hold pee + she'd have to go more often ... ??? ... if that were the case, the pee + urates may show subtle signs of that ~ thicker urates, greyish or brownish in color, possibly gritty ... if this increase in peeing is related to her showing massive *thirst* and/or signs of dehydration ~ that could very well be an indicator of renal problems ...
i cannot remember how long she's been with you?!? and if you've had a blood panel done??? might consider a tummy x-ray *if* the urates seem a bit 'strange' to you (since you do have experience with what 'normal urates' look like! *grin*) ... but if the urates are thin + nice + white .......
prob'ly just adjusting to a good diet ... i'm betting on the 1st scenerio! a temporarily overworked but healthy renal system + a bladder that's slightly lacking in muscle tone ~
*fingers crossed* that it's NOT anything bad going on!!! sounds like she's had way more than her share of problems + is due for a long streak of good luck + good health!!!
positive vibes and best wishes to you both!
Bon.
