Really, T-B, it is not an issue of who's right and who's wrong. It is a matter of being conscientious, responsible, and caring. What you described was potentially a serious condition that needed to be seen by a doctor.
You can never regret getting a professional opinion on a potentially serious condition....many of the good folks here have lost their babies to conditions that did not seem serious at the time, or went unnoticed for a time. Better to be safe than sorry!
