: We are wondering if we can house a female green iguana with a White Eyed Conure and a Red Eared Slider.....here is our enclosure set up. :)
: First, we will be adopting a green iguana from a local herp shelter. I have read and read and READ some more! about the proper care of a green iguana and we are excited to bring one home! In all my research, though, I have not found an answer.
: The cage is as follows: 6.5 feet tall, 7 feet long, and 3.5 feet deep (from front to back). We have built a high shelf for our hopefull addition with the proper heat and light lamps, clamped on the outside so she won't burn herself. It is also equiped with large branches and tropical, non-toxic foliage for a natural environment. The bottom of the cage has a deep pond area for soaking and swimming. (3.5 x 3.0 and 16 inches deep) This would be shared by the turtle. It also houses a large basking area at the bottom, covered with pavers, mainly for the turtle.
: We are very proud of our hand built display and want to complete it with a new iguana. Any answers will be greatly appreciated!!
