Bent tail

My ig has bent his tail. It got caught in a poorly designed feature of the cage I build him :-( The broken skin has healed, but his tail is still bent. He has grown many inches past the bent point and the tail below the bent point looks healthy, but is it something I should be worried about? Thanks for any advice.
