Hmmmm..... Decreased pooping could very well coincide with lower food intake... Which could coincide with gravidity... Any chance of bowel impaction at all ? Even though she may not be using her hide box, to me it sounds like there could be a chance that she's going to start with the egg business.... Mel just went through very similar symptoms... Loss of appetite, digging, infrequent bowels...Back in October/November we x-rayed and it looked like the beginning of eggs...Just little ghost circles on the film... She threw us for a loop one night last month when she swelled up like a balloon within two hours for no apparent reason so we made a midnight trip to the vet. After x rays the "eggs" were no longer on the film so we presumed that they were re-absorbed and we chalked up the football impersonation to constipation because she pooped when we got her home... Not as much as normal for her but she hadn't been eating much for awhile either...
Could be worth a trip for pictures juuuuust to make sure of what you're dealing with. Since your vet is already on his/her toes about the possibility it would be worth a phone call to bounce it off of him/her.
