Yeah, I would steer clear of dirt as it is unsanitary and your iguanas might try to eat it anyway (I had an iguana who would eat dirt and rocks!) Anyway, I use newspapers (except with my last one who ate newspapers too) With him, I finally just bought vinyl tile for the bottom of the cage! All the commercial bedding is crap-- and pretty dangerous for iguanas so steer clear of that. You can also buy that adhesive melamine stuff to put over your wood bottom for ease of cleaning. Until they are potty trained though, newspaper/papertowels at least absorbs the urine and makes for a bit easier cleaning.
