Well I thought i would share a couple stories i find funny! My Ig has been acting crazy because of its hormones. Generally He is very easy going and never aggressive. Well last week he started in on chasing the cats and wanting to mate with them!LOL~ They of course want nothing to do with him except for my siamese who has not a mean bone in her body! here is my lizard hanging off of her face holding onto a chunk of her hair~ and kymmy thinks it just has a strange way of playing!LOL~ Well I am there trying to get the lizard to let go so it will not get hurt and after i finally get him off kymmy still wants to play with him! I had the flu last week and my lizard could not have been happier though~ As being home all day I just let the lizard bask in real sun and wander about the house for three days! What a difference in his attitude! He was really happy with this arrangment and was not happy when i got better! I did take him out on a trip in the car to the local petstore to pick up some gooodies for my snakes and other lizards! He did really well and seemed to enjoy himself! UNTIL!! This young teenage guy walked by me in the store and was wearing this very agua green shirt! I never knew my lizard could fly off me so quickly! He landed on the guys shirt and was trying to bite it! I of course turned and grabbed him quickly and the guy was laughing~~ He may seem very tame but with all his hormones he really reacts strongly to colors!! Oh and he also decided after chasing the cat and not being able to catch it that my daughters feet looked enviting enough and latched onto one of them! I had to carefully open his mouth and tell him how bad he is being. He didn't actually do any damage to her foot unlike when he bit my arm~~ He was just kinda holding on so he pinched her a little~~ Now she keeps her feet covered when he is loose!LOL~~ I did find however when he is in a real maddened state that if i give him a stuffed animal he will go to town on it, after that i think all his energy is spent~~ My husband is not so fond of a crazed lizard running about the house~~ I have to try and convince him of how sweet he is!LOL~~ Of course he is not making it to easy on me!hehehe~~ I did buy My daughter a Dwarf baby rabbit to make up for the bitey lizard on her foot~~(she has been wanting a fluffy bunny for some time~) The bunny is so sweet and will only get as big as 2 lbs! The lizard seems to fear the bunny though>??? I am not sure why as it is way smaller than a cat~~ We are moving to a new house in May and I can hardly wait as My ig is getting her very own bathroom!!! I think his attitude will improve in a much bigger space as he seems to be outgrowing his cage and we do not have enough room in the house we are in to have a bigger cage! Also in May we are planning to go out of town for 4 whole days! I have no one to take care of my lizard as my sister(who would normally take care of my animals will be coming with us) I am not sure what to do yet??? I hate to stress it out by taking it out of its home~~ Can you take lizards on planes with your carry on?? I suppose i could arrange to bring it with me? Anyone ever traveled with there lizard before? Thanks for your input!Tiff
