It might . HOWEVER not knowing what is causing it there is always the outside chance it could do more harm then good . You need to go to the vet . When I got my first iguana at the age of 15 I had to take a bus to boston thats 500 miles round trip . Trust if you want your animal to live and I assume that you do or you would not have got him then you need to go to a vet and you need to go on a regular basis . Please look at this link and see what can happin when a very small problem goes untreated .
