Stevie,
It is of extreme importance that you get him a new enclosure asap before we start seeing serious side health problems develop because of this, if they have not started already.
I myself would recommend that if you are handy yourself, that you construct a large enclosure for your ig - or if you are not handy, to have someone you know who is handy to build one. We build all of our own enclosures around here and have used several different methods/formats. Right now we are actually in the process of building permanent,walk-in mini rooms for each iguana (good luck selling our place now lol!).
This will save you a ton of money and you can easily design a custom enclosure, designed to suit the specific needs of an iguana - aquariums just don't cut it for large igs. You can customize the height, the shelving, the ramps...the possibilities are endless. You can even construct "trees" in there out of wood if you want :) The igs just love to hang out in one of these.
If you construct it large enough, you will save money in the long run by not having to continuously build or buy larger enclosures - especially now that he is over 2yrs of age.
There are many great sites out there that cover constructing iguana habitats that you will definitely want to check out. I will attach a link to our Green Iguana Care Collection which lists many of these sites for you.
As a side note, you given that he is 2yrs old and in that size of an enclosure, I would recommend a vet check-up with a vet qualified to treat reptiles (check out the http://www.herpvetconnection.com site to locate a vet near you). I am rather concerned about the possible physical/health problems that your iguana could have as a result of his current housing. Call me a worry-wart if you must but we have seen so many horrific cases come through the rescue operation that leads me to suspect that there is a potential for problems with this iguana. I would just like to see you be safe and not sorry at the end of the day :)
I hope this helps!
Candy
